I will say the builing itself does not impress me and looks a bit like a place I would not want cooking anything which is the only reason this is 4 stars....but it is Beaverton Bakery and they have most of the same stock as the one right in downtown Beaverton which is one of my favorite bakeries. I suggest you try anything but my current love is the almond roca cupcakes - they are incredible!

Although my initial experience with a certain Beaverton Bakery employee was irritating, I have to say my experience picking up my cake the next day was completely opposite. The employee I dealt with this time was very sweet and enjoyable and my cake was unreal. It was one of the best cakes I've eaten. Beaverton Bakery has always produced quality yummies and that's why I continue to go there but I will be on the lookout for "you know who" if I return. Good customer service is so vital people. Like Nike always says, "Just do it"!

The Almond Rocha cupcakes are our favorite! We must get them for our out of town guests every time. Delicious!

I'm a repeat customer & I almost always receive great friendly service. This last time, the gal who helped me wasn't as polite, but the cake was outstanding- as always! I purchased a cake through the sharingspree.com deal! BB did a fantastic job on our baby's 1st birthday cake decor. They surpassed what I had expected/ requested. They are super fast in getting it done (24 hour notice), esp. for a custom cake. Their tray of cookies are so good too! I hope sharingspree will have another deal w/ BB, as I will be going back for more!

YESSSS! THANK YOU, Beaverton Bakery for saving my hide. Celebrations are fun and all, but they are so much friggin' work. And when you are already workin' hard for the money, pre-ordering a birthday cake 72 hours in advance is not always first on your list of things to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm a planner. Some might say an over-planner, but ... I'm just not much of a cake person. I've always seen them, only occasionally eaten them, but never wanted or baked or ordered them. I guess I assumed it was something you could drop in and pick up, like cupcakes, but as we should all know by now, cupcakes are a deliciously different story. But so: maybe you can, pick them up off the rack, just so long as you have time during regular work hours, and don't need a specific flavor. That will rarely be my situation. Here's why Beaverton Bakery wins: - PRETTY CAKES: Cinematic, even. They know cake decorating, don't you worry. - LOCATION: More than one location in the outer Portland reaches, including this one in Lake Oswego near my work. Which is great, y'know... if you're in Lake O. - COMPREHENSIVE ONLINE ORDERING: Helpful photos! Options for everything! Prices! Information! Email confirmation. Good heavens, thank you. Because maybe you're not at liberty to have detailed cake-ordering discussions on your work phone about your cake-buying plans and credit card numbers. - CONVENIENT PICK-UP: I was able to schedule my pick-up time for the very next day. So good. I hate those black-out things where it's like, hey I know you want to order something and just went through all the sweat and anxiety of picking it all out, but HA too bad you have to wait until next week if you want to order it online. - NICE FOLKS: it's not all about the online ease. They're accessible in person, too! The price point is a bit high for an everyday bakery stop, but for culinary creations, parties, fundraisers -- all those celebration needs -- they are really great about volunteering helpful and creative ideas, effectively taking a lot of the work out of the thing so you can finally do what you came to do: celebrate!

Beaverton Bakery's cinnamon bread is the best. I make a point of picking some up at the end of my trips to Portland so I'll have it (relatively) fresh back in New York. The staff are always friendly as well.

This location has closed as of 21 February 2015. It just saddens me. I used to love to go in with my little kiddies to pick out one of their delicious cookies. At least I can still order and pick up my cakes at Zupan's at Lake Grove. Good bye Beaverton Southlake I will miss you!

This was my first experience with Beaverton Bakery. I went in needing 4 dozen cupcakes for my daughters 4th birthday. They made it easy to select from the different choices and everything was ready when I picked them up the day of the party. Everyone at the party raved about how delicious the cupcakes were and I couldn't agree more. They were delicious. Not too sugary. Perfect! I will definitely be going back.

Some of the most elaborate children's birthday cakes I've seen have been made by Beaverton Bakery. So I was thrilled to discover this location in the Lakeside Shopping Center closer to my home. No need to drive all the way to Beaverton. Yay! The space is divided in two. One side has bakery cases filled with a variety of dessert items and the other side is filled with examples of their over-the-top Cinema cakes and some seating if you dine in. Unfortunately my experiences with this particular location have only been mediocre. They have fun seasonal items, so most of our visit have been to purchase cookies (Civil War, Halloween, etc.) and so I haven't ordered a cake here yet. One of these days, I may still order a birthday cake because they do have wonderful creativity. My kids just happen to be in an ice cream cake phase at the moment and why fight that?

We often overlook the resources at our doorstep, and the Beaverton Bakery is one such resource. Recently, we were dinner guests at a friend's home, and we typically bring a bottle of wine or cakes and pastries, depending on the tastes of our hosts. The Beaverton Bakery is our choice for cakes, pies and pastries...certainly for "special occasions"...and there are so many special occasions. There are supermarkets nearby, but I prefer the Beaverton Bakery and I enjoy every bite. I'm sure you will share my enthusiasm.

Not like the high end boutique dessert shops found all over Portland but all around good pastries and desserts for cheaper. I tried multiple cookies, good but nothing extraordinary. The berry pie was pretty good but the best things there is the tiramisu cake!!! If you have an occasion coming up try the tiramisu cake. They will probably need 1 day advance notice. They did some (I believe free) decorating with cream (no fondant). They did a pretty good job drawing a middle aged man hiking in the woods.

This is our go-to cake place. I have never been disappointed with a cake from here. We adore their heavenly egg nog cake around Christmas time. We were crushed when they didn't make it last year. The banana cake is nearly as scrumptious. The last time we visited they even hooked us up with some lettering on a pre-made cake from their case very quickly just to make the cake fit the occasion. Too lazy to make cookies for that office potluck but need to look like you put an effort in? Stop in here, they have oodles of them and you won't have any left to bring home. Prices are a tad on the high side, but once you have a bite I think you'll admit they're worth it. The only problem about talking about this place is... well... damnit! Looks like I'll be having cake for breakfast again very soon!

This place never disappoints. We had a white cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting. Lick the plate clean good!

For years this is the place we've thought of first when seeking a special birthday cake and they were always good, if not pricey. Yesterday we tried 3 of the smaller items (Napoleon, dense choc cake and mini pink cake type deal). OMG what a disappointment. I didn't purchase them (the wife did) but I'm sure they weren't cheap. It sucks at any price to take the time and effort to make a special stop for something, get it home and eat it and then have to chuck it in the garbage because it was so bad. Thus was our experience with BBLO last night. Not sure if these items were day old or what but moisture was not on the menu. The Napoleon filling was fine but the pastry was so tough that the whole thing smashed into a flat mess when you tried to eat it. The mini pink cake was dry as a bone with way too much frosting and the dense chocolate cake was a dense chocolate brick. Perhaps BB thinks that they have reached a point where they have enough business and don't feel they need to try and make good products anymore. Or maybe they only focus on the big ticket wedding cake stuff? Not sure about that but am sure that we won't be making special stops and spending extra money for baked goods with BB anymore.

My grandmother would takes us here as kids and as a treat we got to pick out a cookie. This place holds the magic memories of a child with the smells and the display cases. As an adult I didnt know exactly where it was till one day driving thru Beaverton..... I found it.... I parked, I got out, I may have done a little happy dance. Yes right in the street I did a happy dance. I walked up to the door and it smelled the same. The wonderful smell of fresh baked bread along with other sweet treats. I walk in and it is the same. Gloriously the same. I may have done another happy dance... in which made the lovely ladies behind the counter laugh and inquire as to why I was doing a happy dance. When I told them.... they actually gave me a tiny cookie as a way to bring back even more memories lol. The bread is still wonderful, the sweet treats are still delectable and the service is still with a smile.

Amazing cakes and awesome service! It's a little spendy but absolutely worth it. If you don't need a whole cake, they also have a large pastry selection. Yum yum yum!

My daughter and I went in to Beaverton bakery to pick up a few treats for our friends at the hospital. We had NO idea what we were in for. We got treats for them, rolls for Thanksgiving, Ducks cookies as gifts for my Son's birthday and the BEST hot cocoa and peppermint marshmellows EVER!!!!! The treats just keep on coming!! We had so much fun and the service was BEYOND fabulous!!!!!

Beaverton Bakery made my wedding cake back in 2009 and OMG it was absolutely amazing! I'm talking the taste/flavor. In addition, the decor job was phenominal. Since then, I've always been a fan. Sharing Spree ( sharingspree.com ) has had a couple 'Deal of the Days' where you get $50 worth of Beaverton Bakery product for only $25. I JUMPED at that opportunity both times. Since then, I've not only continued to be a fan of Beaverton Bakery, but am also a member of Sharing Spree fan. Both businesses kick a**!
